If you are following along from home, you know that some months ago PBS and Doug Bock Clark et. al. sought and received my cooperation for that long-sought investigative piece the nation needed to avoid a civil war (or so I was told). Thinking this a worthy goal I turned aside many other journalists’ overtures so as to bring them up to speed carefully, painstakingly, to go where no other journalists had gone before, to learn the intricacies of this questions and that, as they combed through the events of those fateful 65 days from Tuesday, November 3, 2020, until Thursday, January 7, 2021). And after months of cooperation from me, they then delivered …. a superficial rehash of all the reporting that came before them for a year. Really. It was a feat remarkable in some ways, given the volume of evidence that has come out confirming that Election 2020 was a junk election (mountains of which are rehearsed in the two links below), and even since the release of the PBS piece two weeks ago (e.g., see yesterday’s letter from AZ AG Brnovich).

It was a rather blunt but remarkable strategy: a couple weeks before publication Doug Bock Clark let me know that Pro Publica and he had decided to handle this entire mountain of evidence by pretending it did not exist. He did not utter it, but he said it, and so confident was I that I had read him correctly that I decided to publish my review of his work before he even published:

I awarded PBS a somewhat stronger better grade, B-, for several reasons. First, one cannot fault their production quality. Second, they actually made some pretense of feeling an obligation of intellectual honesty (whereas Doug Block Clark simply refused to defend his and Pro Publica’s editorial decision that while judging whether or not we of the Election Integrity movement are correct, one must refuse to consider any evidence that has arisen after a date drawn on December 5, 2021, apparently arbitrarily). PBS got a better grade (B-) than Pro Publica (C-) for those two reasons.

Yet I watched the PBS show again. Again I chuckled at the spooky music playing as their investigation seeks to locate the mystery man behind it all, who turns out to be….. the guy who has been on television since November 5, 2020 saying it, the guy who by January 30, 2020 wrote a book about it, the guy who made a movie about it, the guy who started The America Project about it, the guy who helped launch the national “ReAwaken America” tour and speaks at almost all of them… that is the “mystery” guy behind it all (per the deep investigation of PBS). However, upon second viewing I recognize that PBS did, in their own tiny way, keep three commitments they made to me. And as the adage goes, “Praise publicly, criticize privately”.

So here goes:

“Open the ballot boxes in six places” – I pointed out to PBS (as I did to many a journalist before them) that we are not debating how many angels can dance on the head of a pin: we are debating something that could be resolved in about a week by “opening the ballot boxes” in six counties. Check the routers and hard drives, Cast Vote Records, etc. It could all be done in a week, as I repeatedly point out to journalists, none of whom have previously been willing to convey that simple and obvious point. However, in the PBS show, they introduced me sitting with General Flynn and Joe Flynn on an Alex Jones show, and the snippet that is playing is, in fact, the snippet where I am making precisely that point to Alex Jones. I assume they did that to get it by the censors, and I commend them on fulfilling that promise.

They use my terminology regarding the “pro-freedom movement”. Again, that took courage, and no doubt was the subject of lengthy board-level discussions at PBS.

In discussing the events at Lin Wood’s home (“Tomotley”) PBS included my rejection of the claim that there was any “multipart organized plan” cooked up there. Again, such minimal integrity is more than I expect out of most journalists these days, so I must compliment PBS on the point.

So as they say in the NFL, “Upon further review….” I feel obliged to raise PBS’s grade to a solid B.
